Please join Sam Schwartz in raising donations for National Shoe the World Day.
Globally, more than 500 million people lack adequate footwear—a significant barrier to mobility, education, and employment that also increases the risk of injury and illness. At the same time, in the United States we throw away an average of 70 pounds of textiles (shoes and clothing) per person, per year, adding 21 billion pounds of waste annually to our landfills.
Given our extensive work on pedestrian projects and deep commitment to designing for all users, we feel ensuring everyone has access to footwear is an especially apt cause for our firm to support. Please join us in this effort!
