As you may know, each of the past few summers (Haiti 2015, Dominican Republic 2017, Honduras 2018 and Colombia 2019), I have had the opportunity to go on an unforgettable service trip with the Preds and Soles4Souls. These trips have been truly incredible, life giving and have left an imprint on my heart. This next summer (2020) we will be travelling to Tanzania (Africa) to give shoes and give love to those in the communities we will serve. For those that may not know, Soles4Souls is dedicated to fighting the devastating impact of poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing.
On this trip, we will be given the chance to meet and interact with the children and adults in several communities throughout Tanzania and immerse ourselves in their culture. Not only on this trip will we distribute shoes and wash their feet, but also show them love and let them know how important and special they are as people. Like on every other trip I have done, I know without a doubt that my life will be far more impacted and changed because of this experience and what they can teach me about life.
Every trip, I've been blessed to be able to take, is truly an eye opening and heart warming experience. The people of these countries have hardly anything and yet are so appreciative of anything they receive and freely give of what they have to my coworkers and myself. They have so much joy already in their lives, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to play a small part in bringing a smile to those that we will meet in Tanzania.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to go on this trip each summer thanks to my loving family and friends and am so excited for next summer! I ask for your support prayerfully for the communities that we will visit while we are over there, for our team and our travels and for the relationships that will be built with those while down there. If you are able, I would love for your support financially as I have $4,164 left to raise. (at least $1,500 of that number the Preds have generously allowed us to fund-raise through our game night auctions). I realize how important the support of my family and friends is, and would appreciate your thoughtful and prayerful consideration.
