Our goal is to provide new shoes for 25,000 children in need <3

I first experienced extreme poverty when I decided to go to Mexico for a volunteer opportunity. I saw firsthand what it is like in a developing nation where it is very difficult for women to find work and where kids would walk long distances in no shoes or in shoes that did not fit. If you know me at all, you know what a soft-spot I have for children. Seeing this literally broke my heart.

When I started working at Soles4Souls and had the opportunity to help solve both of these problems, I found my passion. To make a living by helping a life and desperately trying to make sure every child has access to a pair of shoes.

Poverty isn’t only “over there" though. There are millions of children right here in North America who live in poverty, whose families can’t afford good shoes.

In honor of National Barefoot Day, I am pledging to raise $1,000 to provide 1,000 pairs of shoes to those in need. Once this is hit, I will start going barefoot up until June 1st when it officially kicks off! Donate now for my "Go Barefoot Challenge" and help me get shoes on all those sweet little feet:)
